Berkeley Preparatory School is seeking a full‑time Kindergarten Instructional Assistant for the school year. The Kindergarten Instructional Assistant will work collaboratively with a master teacher to plan the instructional program and co‑teach lessons to whole and small groups that are both age‑appropriate and address individual student needs. Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and experience and/or training working in an Early Childhood classroom.
A good sense of humor, a positive outlook, and an appreciation of the unique qualities of the age group are essential.
Candidates must show a strong willingness to receive feedback regularly, grow professionally, significantly contribute to the life of the school, and will be eager to work in a culturally and ethnically diverse environment.
Compensation and BenefitsThe appointment will begin August 2026 and is a full‑time position with full benefits. The compensation package will be very competitive nationally and commensurate with experience, degree attainment, and the national independent school and college markets.
