As a 5th Grade Teacher, you will develop lesson plans aligned with established guidelines, establish rapport with students, staff, and parents, and motivate students to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge to build a solid educational foundation tailored to each student's ability.

How You Will Impact Education

Instruction/Education Responsibilities
  • Design and implement instruction aligned with the company's philosophy, goals, and adopted curricula.
  • Create purposeful and effective lesson plans that incorporate diverse teaching strategies and maximize student engagement.
  • Present subject matter engagingly, using real-world examples and application-based learning opportunities.
  • Review and utilize student records to understand individual abilities and needs, maintaining accurate records.
  • Strive to maximize each student's educational achievement through differentiated instruction and regular assessments.
  • Identify and refer students with learning difficulties to support personnel, and review student work and presentations.
  • Coordinate class field trips and prepare students for state assessments.
  • Stay current with subject matter knowledge and contribute to curriculum improvement and resource selection.
  • Foster awareness of supplemental services that benefit students beyond the classroom.
Provide a Classroom Environment Conducive to Learning
  • Create a safe, clean, and engaging classroom environment that reflects student work and adheres to policies.
  • Build positive relationships, demonstrating patience and nurturing to support student growth.
  • Establish and enforce classroom rules fairly and consistently to maintain order.
Instructional Planning
  • Develop lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and student needs.
  • Plan individual and group activities to meet instructional goals.
  • Prepare thoroughly for each class and participate in curriculum planning meetings.
  • Incorporate diagnostic information and IEP requirements into planning.
School/Community Relations
  • Build cooperative relationships and communicate effectively with parents and guardians.
  • Maintain confidentiality and participate in parent communication and school activities.
Required Qualifications And Skills
  • Enthusiasm and commitment to the mission and values of CSUSA.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including active listening and negotiation.
  • Consistent attendance, punctuality, and responsiveness to management feedback.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Student Information Systems, and email communication.
  • Commitment to quality, accuracy, and best practices in education.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and valid teaching certification.
  • 1-3 years of successful teaching experience or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of learning theories, motivation, reinforcement, and evaluation techniques.
  • Commitment to CSUSA values and successful background checks.
  • Effective instructional delivery and adherence to ethical standards.
Work Environment & Physical Demands

Typical school conditions; may be noisy during high student traffic. Light physical effort required; some stress due to student activity. Reasonable accommodations available for disabilities.
