Radiology- Medical Skills Teacher

Role Description

The Radiology–Medical Skills Teacher is a full-time, on-site position based in Tampa, FL. This educator will design and deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction in radiology and medical skills, preparing students for healthcare pathways and related certifications. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and updating lesson plans, creating engaging classroom and lab activities, integrating safety and compliance practices, and assessing student learning through a variety of methods.

The teacher will provide individualized support, maintain accurate student records, collaborate with colleagues and program coordinators, and communicate regularly with families and school staff. Additional responsibilities may include coordinating clinical or lab-based experiences, participating in professional development, and contributing to school and district initiatives within Career and Technical Education.

• Strong foundation in Education and Teaching, with experience delivering instruction to diverse learners in secondary or postsecondary settings.
• Proficiency in Lesson Planning and Training, including designing standards-based curricula, lab activities, and assessments aligned with radiology and medical skills.
• Excellent Communication skills, with the ability to explain complex medical concepts clearly and build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
• Demonstrated expertise or professional background in radiology, medical assisting, or related health sciences, preferably with relevant certifications or licensure.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Health Sciences, Radiologic Technology, or a related field; advanced degree or industry credentials are preferred.
• Ability to implement classroom management strategies that support a safe, inclusive, and culturally responsive learning environment.
• Familiarity with Career and Technical Education (CTE) standards, industry best practices, and current healthcare regulations is highly desirable.
• Comfort with educational technology, learning management systems, and digital resources to enhance instruction and student engagement.
