Athletic Training Faculty Position

This 12-month, full-time (1.0 FTE) on-site faculty position will remain open until filled. This existing position reports to the Athletic Training Program Director, and will have responsibilities related to teaching, research, and service. The primary teaching role will be in our CAATE accredited Master of Science in Athletic Training Program, with a workload of approximately 17 credits in total throughout the academic year.

The program is seeking an additional faculty member with athletic training clinical and teaching experience. The program approaches course delivery in a holistic manner, and the specific course assignments will be based on the candidate's strengths and the needs of the program.

The mission of the School of Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation Sciences (SPT&RS) is to "Move Lives Forward" through the education of students in an inclusive educational, research, and clinical environment that embraces community, innovation, discovery, knowledge, expertise, leadership, collaboration, and partnerships. SPT&RS is comprised of expert faculty and staff who support our education, research, and clinical missions. • Teach graduate athletic training coursework; develop and refine curriculum.
• Assess student learning and implement ongoing improvements.
• Participate in faculty meetings, governance, and committee work.
• Advise and mentor students.
• Engage in scholarly work and present findings through publications or presentations.
• Contribute to program development, college-wide collaboration, and professional engagement.
• Perform additional academic duties as assigned.

• Doctoral (i.e. PhD, EdD) degree from an accredited institution
• Active BOC certification and current (or eligible for) Florida Athletic Training licensure
• Desire to teach in area of expertise
• Must meet University criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor.
