Role Mission
The role of the Testing Coordinator is to help ensure 100% of students perform to the best of their ability in an environment that is conducive to testing. Through the work of the testing coordinator, teachers and leaders can feel confident in the data‑driven decisions that are made for all students at IDEA Public Schools. Ensuring that 100% of students get the appropriate test, accommodations and testing environment will help us achieve the goal of our mission of 100% of students to and through college.
When this work is executed successfully, the leadership team can focus on the social‑emotional support of students and family engagement work.
- Hourly rate ranges from $18.49 for 0 years of experience to $23.11.
- Paid Family Leave:
Eligible staff may receive up to 8 weeks of paid leave for the birth or adoption of a child. - Tuition Reimbursement:
Staff may apply for up to 50% of tuition paid toward a qualifying degree program, up to $5,250 maximum per year. - Employee‑Paid Mental/Behavioral Health: 5 face‑to‑face counseling sessions within a year, unlimited 24/7 telephonic counseling, and other work‑life services available at no cost.

- Education:
High School Diploma;
Bachelor’s degree preferred. - Experience:
Educational testing experience preferred.
- Superior organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Ensure 100% of students at the school have high‑quality testing environments for district, state, and national tests.
- Attend all scheduled trainings with the national Assessment Team.
- Actively participate in the TC TEAMS group and scheduled trainings, review materials, read the weekly Testing Coordinator Newsletter, and complete all assigned testing manuals and documents.
- Create and communicate campus testing plans for all assessments to managers, teams, teachers, and staff, following timelines from the national Assessment Team.
- Communicate testing schedules and updates to students’ parents/families.
- Coordinate with campus IT technician to ensure all computers used for online testing are updated and ready before test day.
- Ensure testing coordinators and students have access to the appropriate online testing system.
- Prepare all testing bins 72 hours in advance of testing dates, including acquiring supplemental materials for special programs.
- Review testing bin contents with test proctor 2 days prior to testing and ensure the proctor understands implementation.
- Audit all accommodation and supplemental materials with special population point persons before testing.
- Process and manage state assessment materials following district guidelines; check materials in and out from the national Assessment Team.
- Audit paper state test booklets and answer documents with a trained lead team member to verify correct student information before returning to the national Assessment Team.
- Execute 100% of deliverables requested by the national Assessment Team on time, including data reporting, student counts, computer needs, and other requested information.
- May be appointed as the school’s designated ACT, PSAT, or AP Coordinator.
- Lead campus testing training to teach staff policies and procedures for execution of testing.
- Schedule biweekly meetings with each school special point person to ensure accommodations are entered/updated in the system by deadlines.
- Schedule meetings with each test proctor at least 2 days before testing to ensure proper implementation of accommodations.
- Oversee all testing sessions to maintain compliance with policies and procedures.
