Provide support for the overall school educational and cultural environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Responsible for lower level discipline referrals
- Monitor attendance and/or interventions for under‑performing students
- Process documents and materials for the purpose of disseminating information to appropriate parties
- Communicate and coordinate with families of students
- Maintain respect at all times for confidential information
- Ability to communicate ideas and directives clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing
- Effective, active listening skills
- Interpersonal, Restorative Practice background preferred
- Ability to work effectively with others
- Organizational and problem‑solving skills
- Excellent public relations skills
- Interact in a positive manner with staff, students and parents
- Make contact with the public with tact and diplomacy
- Promote good public relations by personal appearance, attitude and conversation
- Respond to routine questions and requests in an appropriate manner
- Maintain a level of approachability by administration and staff
- Must hold an active Connecticut Department of Education Certification
- 092 Certification preferred, but not required
- Middle or high school teaching experience
- Alternative to the above qualifications as the Superintendent and/or Norwalk Board of Education may find appropriate
