Position Details
The Department of Criminology in the College of Social Sciences, Mathematics, and Education at The University of Tampa invites applications for part‑time instructors in criminology and criminal justice for on‑campus teaching only:
Responsibilities- Teach introductory courses in criminology and criminal justice in‑person on campus.
- Follow department requirements for syllabi and other course related materials.
- Teach course(s) according to department guidelines.
- Provide meeting times for students.
- Complete course grading and submit final grades on the online system.
- Master's Degree in Criminology/Criminal Justice (or closely related discipline) required;
Doctorate preferred. - College level teaching experience; experience teaching Criminology/Criminal Justice classes preferred.
- Relevant work experience a plus but not required.
- The ability to teach in‑person on campus in Tampa.
Finalists may be required to submit to a criminal background check.
Additional InformationApplications for part‑time positions are accepted on a continuous basis and reviewed by the department when openings become available. Future teaching assignments are on a term‑by‑term basis which may include fall, spring and summer.
