The Reading Coach is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Tampa, FL, supporting school‑wide literacy improvement. This position provides instructional coaching to teachers, models effective reading strategies, and collaborates with staff to design standards‑aligned literacy lessons. The Reading Coach analyzes student data to identify learning needs, supports differentiated instruction and intervention plans, and helps implement evidence‑based reading programs. The role includes facilitating professional development in literacy practices, co‑planning and co‑teaching lessons, and monitoring progress toward school and district literacy goals.
The Reading Coach works closely with administrators and instructional teams to promote a positive, inclusive, and data‑informed learning environment.
- Strong foundation in Literacy and Elementary Education, with experience supporting reading development across diverse student populations.
- Demonstrated expertise in Coaching, including mentoring educators, providing constructive feedback, and fostering professional growth.
- Proficiency in Differentiated Instruction, with the ability to adapt curricula and strategies to meet varied learning needs and abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; advanced degree and/or reading endorsement or equivalent certification preferred.
- Valid teaching certificate (or eligibility) in the state of Florida and classroom teaching experience, ideally in literacy‑focused roles.
- Ability to interpret assessment data, use it to plan instruction, and collaborate with teams to implement targeted interventions.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills, with a commitment to equity, inclusion, and student‑centered practices.
