Position: VPK Assistant Teacher (10 am – 6 pm, Monday–Friday). Pay: $14.75 – $15.50 per hour depending on experience and qualifications, plus incentive pay.

• Coordinate and implement educational curriculum for children preparing for primary school kindergarten, developing classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards while creating lesson plans that are sensory rich.
• Lead by example and encourage success through modeling and coaching.
• Plan individual and group age‑appropriate activities to engage children and encourage social, cognitive, and emotional growth.
• Maintain a personal and professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement while following all facility policies and state regulations.
• Develop a careful and creative program suitable for preschool children.
• Encourage children to develop language skills, and foster a community‑spirited classroom through sharing, caring, and self‑regulation while also encouraging independent feeding and self‑help skills.
• Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards.

• High school diploma and/or degree in a related field of study.
• FL DCF 45‑hour training required, with willingness to obtain VPK endorsements and a CDA.

• Must clear a full Level II DCF background check.
• At least 2 years of professional early‑childhood training/experience.
• CPR, First Aid, and Fire Extinguisher certification completion within 30 days of employment.
• Fluent in both English and Spanish is a plus.
