Aide, Parent Liaison, Spc Rev
Hours are 7:10 am – 2:40 pm. Must be fluent in English and Spanish, possess general office and computer skills.
Responsibilities- Serve as liaison between parents and the school, working closely with district personnel such as social workers, counselors, psychologists, and administrators.
- Provide and interpret information about school procedures, instructional programs, and staff roles.
- Assist with facilitation of parental activities with feeder schools and the local community to generate a continuum for student success.
- Maintain communication logs to document contact with parents, students, staff, and community.
- Serve as contact for parents with questions about school services or specific activities and events.
- Contact parents to invite participation on school committees or attendance at special events.
- Develop rapport with students, parents, and staff to promote student adjustment and progress.
- Assist parents and students with accessing educational resources.
- Cultivate parental interest through engagement, advocacy, and involvement in school-connected organizations and committees.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
- Responsibilities and tasks may evolve to meet district needs.

Experience: One year of increasingly responsible experience in education, child care, or a related field (preferred).
Language
Skills:
Reads and comprehends simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; writes simple correspondence; effectively presents information in one-on-one and small group situations.
Mathematical
Skills:
Adds and subtracts two-digit numbers, multiplies and divides with 10s and 100s, and performs operations with units of American money, weight, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability: Applies understanding to carry out detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions; deals with problems involving few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer
Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Physical Demands: Standing, walking, sitting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, handling, keyboarding, talking, and hearing. Lifting up to 10 pounds; reaching with both hands and overhead; low‑intensity noise environment.
