Position Overview:

The Director of Education provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for all educational programming and initiatives. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating high-quality professional development for educators, curriculum resources, and

student-centered programming that align with the organization’s mission and long-term strategic goals.

The Director of Education will oversee the planning and execution of educator workshops, student learning experiences, curriculum development, and educational partnerships while ensuring

programs remain innovative, impactful, and responsive to educator and student needs.

Working collaboratively across departments, the Director of Education will partner closely with the Director of Grants and Impact to evaluate program outcomes, identify areas for continuous

improvement, measure impact, and support reporting requirements for funders and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate is an experienced educational leader with strong program management skills, a passion for educator engagement, and the ability to balance strategic vision with day-to-day execution.

Key Responsibilities

Educational Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead the organization’s overall educational vision, strategy, and program development
  • Design and implement innovative educational initiatives that support educators, students, and schools statewide.
  • Ensure all educational programming aligns with organizational goals, state standards, and best practices in teaching and learning.
  • Stay informed on emerging trends in education, curriculum design, instructional practices, and professional learning.
Educator Professional Development
  • Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of all educator workshops, conferences, trainings, and professional development opportunities.
  • Develop engaging, high-quality learning experiences for educators in both in-person and virtual
  • Cultivate relationships with educators, school districts, community partners, and subject matter experts to enhance program offerings.
  • Lead curriculum design and instructional resource development for educator and student
  • Oversee all student programming initiatives, including classroom experiences, competitions (in-person and virtual), leadership opportunities, and special events.
  • Ensure curriculum and programs are engaging, measurable, inclusive, and aligned with educational standards and organizational priorities.
Program Management & Operations
  • Develop systems, processes, calendars, and operational plans that ensure smooth implementation of educational initiatives statewide.
