Asst​/Assoc Professor

This 12-month, full-time (1.0 FTE) on-site Assistant Professor and core faculty position will remain open until filled. This existing position reports to the Athletic Training Program Director, and will have responsibilities related to teaching, research, and service. The primary teaching role will be in our CAATE accredited Master of Science in Athletic Training Program, with a workload of approximately 17 credits in total throughout the academic year.

The program is seeking an additional faculty member with athletic training clinical and teaching experience. The program approaches course delivery in a holistic manner, and the specific course assignments will be based on the candidate's strengths and the needs of the program. The targeted start date for the position is May 2027.

The Morsani College of Medicine includes the School of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Sciences, Physician Assistant Program, and Medical Education and Graduate Education Programs. The school includes the Athletic Training Program, Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program, and Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency Program. The USF Athletic Training Program was the first AT program to be housed in a College of Medicine and currently has one of the largest and most diverse student populations in the country.

• Teach graduate athletic training coursework; develop and refine curriculum.

• Contribute to program development, college-wide collaboration, and professional engagement.
• Perform additional academic duties as assigned.

• Doctoral (i.e. PhD, EdD) degree from an accredited institution
• Active BOC certification and current (or eligible for) Florida Athletic Training licensure
• Desire to teach in area of expertise
• Must meet University criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor.
