Job Description

This 12-month, full‑time (1.0 FTE) on‑site faculty position will remain open until filled. The position reports to the Athletic Training Program Director and involves teaching, research, and service. The primary teaching role is in the CAATE‑accredited Master of Science in Athletic Training Program, with a workload of approximately 17 credits in total throughout the academic year. The program seeks a faculty member with athletic training clinical and teaching experience.

Course assignments will be based on the candidate’s strengths and the program’s needs.

Responsibilities
  • Teach graduate athletic training coursework; develop and refine curriculum.
  • Assess student learning and implement ongoing improvements.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, governance, and committee work.
  • Advise and mentor students.
  • Engage in scholarly work and present findings through publications or presentations.
  • Contribute to program development, college‑wide collaboration, and professional engagement.
  • Perform additional academic duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Doctoral (PhD, EdD) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Active BOC certification and current (or eligible for) Florida Athletic Training licensure.
  • Desire to teach in area of expertise.
  • Must meet University criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor.
