Salary Range: $44,000.00 To $55,000.00 Annually

, a well-established early childhood program in Tampa celebrating 27 years
, is seeking an enthusiastic Early Childhood Lead Teacher to join our team for the  school year.

We provide a premier educational experience for children ages infant through Pre-K and value strong family partnerships, community engagement, and teacher development.

Shift: Lead Teacher working hours are 7:15am-3:15pm Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday;
Tuesdays 7:15am-3:45pm for staff meetings, training, and/or team meetings.

Position Summary :

Lead Teachers plan and implement learning experiences that advance the intellectual, emotional, social, and physical development of children within a safe, healthy learning environment. In this role, you will support the development and daily care of young children in an early childh classroom.

Essential Functions:

  • Foster a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment
  • Implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities
  • Use positive guidance and developmentally appropriate discipline
  • Maintain constant supervision and safety of children
  • Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and administrators
  • Maintain a clean, organized classroom
  • Collaborate with colleagues and participate in team meetings and trainings

, an evidence-based framework that promotes social-emotional development and prevents challenging behavior in young children.

Qualifications

Required

  • 3 years experience
  • DCF introductory training hours completed
  • CDA or Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
  • Warm, nurturing personality and strong communication skills
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and participate in active classroom routines
  • Warm, friendly personality
  • Sensitive to the feelings and needs of others
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and apply conflict resolution skills with children, parents, and staff
  • Willing to fulfill responsibilities in accordance with Trinity’s educational philosophy
  • Pre-employment requirements include satisfactory reference checks, drug screen (employer paid), and criminal background check ($95)

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field
  • Florida Teaching Certificate
