Salary Range: $15.45 To $17.34 Hourly
Join our team in caring for young children at our early learning center in South Tampa.
Our location has been open for 30+ years. The preschool embraces a constructivist approach to learning, providing a strong academic foundation in a warm, nurturing and fun environment.
The JCC understands the desire of our employees to have the proper work-life balance, which we can offer. This position is for a part time afternoon assistant teacher. Hours scheduled may range from 18 to 25 hours per week between 12:00pm and 6:00pm.

Under the general supervision of the preschool administrators, teachers provide a stimulating, safe and developmentally appropriate educational environment for preschool children.
Requirements- Able to work 18 to 25 hours per work. Hours will be schedule between 12:00pm and 6:00pm.
- Provide basic needs for children
- Provide tools and resources for children to use and explore during learning and play activities
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the interests and learning styles of children
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with children and parents
- Establish and implement classroom management effectively
- Must stand, interact and supervise while on the playground
- Able to lift 35 pounds and comfort children
- Sign up within 90 days of employment for DCF 45 training hours (required by the state.)
- Successful completion of a urine drug screen and background check
- High school diploma or GED
- CDA helpful (not required)
- Early Childhood Certification helpful (not required)
- Free first aid and CPR training
- Wage is based on experience and credentials
