Kumon Assistant High School Math Proficiency

About the Role:

Kumon of Tampa-Palma Ceia, FL is looking for an enthusiastic and math-savvy Kumon Assistant to help students unlock their full academic potential. If you love math and enjoy working with students, we want to hear from you!

• Assist students with Kumon math worksheets and guide them through self-learning exercises
• Grade completed student worksheets accurately and in a timely manner
• Monitor student progress and provide encouragement and positive reinforcement
• Support the center instructor in managing daily center operations
• Communicate student performance observations to the lead instructor
• Maintain an organized, focused, and welcoming classroom environment
• Help students develop independent problem-solving and critical thinking skills

• High school math proficiency required; coursework through Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, or higher preferred
• Patient, encouraging, and able to connect with students of varying skill levels
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when grading student work
• Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain a consistent schedule
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
