Assistant Superintendent

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Superintendent to support the effective leadership, coordination, and day-to-day administration of a busy educational environment. Working closely with the Superintendent and school leadership teams, you will help advance strategic priorities, promote high standards of teaching and learning, and contribute to a safe, inclusive, and supportive culture for students, staff, and families.

Key responsibilities will include assisting with the development and implementation of district-wide plans, policies, and improvement initiatives; monitoring educational programs and student outcomes; supporting curriculum development and instructional quality; and coordinating professional learning for teaching and administrative staff. You will help ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and safeguarding requirements, while contributing to budget planning, resource allocation, and the effective use of facilities and technology.

The role will also involve reviewing performance data, preparing reports and recommendations, supporting recruitment and workforce planning, and helping resolve operational or organisational issues.

The successful candidate will bring substantial experience in educational leadership, school improvement, or a related senior management position, together with a relevant degree and appropriate professional qualifications. You should demonstrate sound knowledge of curriculum, assessment, safeguarding, inclusion, and educational accountability frameworks. Strong communication, relationship‑building, analytical, and decision‑making skills are essential, as is the ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders.
