About the Company: GPAC Recruitment Firm is partnered with one of the leading drywall contractors in the Central Florida area. Their services include: drywall, framing, acoustics, wall protection, expansion joints, exterior panel systems, FRP composite panels, glass fiber reinforced products. They are looking for an experienced Project Manager/Estimator to join their wonderful team.

Position Overview: We are seeking a diligent and experienced Safety Associate to join our team. The Safety Associate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive safety programs to ensure the well-being of our employees and compliance with all relevant regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in occupational health and safety, with proven leadership skills and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with team members at all levels.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Provide safety training and education to employees at all levels, including new hire orientation and ongoing training sessions.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Maintain accurate records of safety-related incidents, training sessions, and compliance activities.
• Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to address safety concerns and develop solutions.
• Stay current on industry trends and best practices in occupational health and safety.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field (preferred).
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification (preferred).
• Minimum of 3 of experience in a safety management role, in the drywall industry (required).
• OSHA 30-hour required
• Bilingual:
  English and Spanish required
• Certification in basic First Aid/CPR & AED training (attained in the last three years) required.
• Experience in public speaking (safety talks) required.
• Experience in customer service - communication skills when interacting with a general contractor.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and engage employees at all levels.
• Proven leadership abilities, with the capacity to inspire a culture of safety and accountability.
