Overview
Our client is looking for a Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead building system design of HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection systems. This is a leadership position to establish the mechanical team for a growing healthcare focused MEP firm with a quick path to equity.
Responsibilities- Establish an HVAC, Plumbing & Fire Protection team.
- Manage and mentor junior engineers.
- Coordinate with clients on project requirements and status updates.
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies to understand local permitting requirements and submit permit documents for review and approval.
- Perform construction administration duties; including attending and documenting project meetings, conducting site visits, reviewing shop drawings, and assisting with the development of change order, closeout, and other construction documentation.
- Perform onsite construction observation and inspection.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- 8+ years of related experience
- P.E License
- Strong written and oral communication skills with both internal employees and external clients.
