Entry Level Water​/Wastewater Engineer

Based in Tampa, FL, the role focuses on water and wastewater projects, including water supply, treatment, distribution and wastewater collection and treatment systems. The engineer will evaluate, plan, design and support projects, gaining exposure to pipelines, treatment facilities and pumping stations.

• Engage in field activities such as site visits, construction inspections, sample collection, water‑quality analysis, asset inventory and flow‑monitoring system setup.
• Support construction phase activities: construction observation, shop‑drawing review, RFI response and permit close‑outs.
• Coordinate with manufacturer representatives and contractors.
• Assist Asset Management projects through data analysis, operational and condition assessments of facilities.
• Prepare reports, presentations, cost estimates and participate in client meetings.

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related field.

Preferred

• Knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, GIS and other engineering software.
• EIT certification.

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Eagerness to learn and grow in water engineering.

Salary range: $49,390 – $79,023 per year, depending on experience and education.
