We are seeking an AI Automation Engineer to drive transformative continuous improvement initiatives in our superalloy investment casting operations. Specializing in precision components such as single-crystal nickel-based turbine blades for aerospace and industrial gas turbines, our foundry demands exceptional process control, yield optimization, and defect minimization. In this role, you will apply artificial intelligence, machine learning, and automation technologies to identify opportunities, develop solutions, and implement scalable systems that enhance efficiency, reduce variability, and improve quality across the entire casting value stream—from wax pattern production to final inspection and heat treatment.

Your work will focus on data-driven process optimization, predictive analytics, and intelligent automation to achieve measurable gains in manufacturing yield, cost reduction, and compliance with stringent aerospace standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze investment‑casting processes with metallurgists, engineers, and production teams to identify AI and automation opportunities.
  • Build and deploy ML models for defect prediction, parameter optimization, and automated image‑based inspection.
  • Integrate AI solutions with plant systems (sensors, SCADA, MES, ProCAST/MAGMA) to enable real‑time monitoring, closed‑loop control, and digital‑twin workflows.
  • Collect and analyze production, sensor, and quality data to drive insights and decision‑making.
  • Lead and validate cross‑functional AI pilot projects and scale successful solutions plant‑wide.
  • Monitor deployed models to ensure reliability, interpretability, and compliance with quality standards.
  • Stay current on emerging AI technologies and recommend R&D initiatives.
  • Document AI models, processes, and results to support knowledge transfer and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mechanical/Materials Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related STEM field.
  • 0-2 years of hands-on experience developing and deploying AI/ML solutions, preferably in manufacturing, process industries, or high-precision environments.
  • Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (Tensor Flow, PyTorch, scikit-learn); experience with computer vision libraries (OpenCV, YOLO) and time-series/ensemble modeling.
  • Strong understanding of data pipelines, feature engineering, model evaluation, and…
