Electrical Engineer

The Electrical Engineer will design, implement, and maintain electrical systems for industrial, commercial, or process facilities. This role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams, overseeing project execution, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate is technically strong, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, grounding, and motor control systems.
• Prepare electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, equipment layouts, and panel schedules.
• Collaborate with mechanical, instrumentation, and process engineering teams for integrated system design.
• Perform load calculations, short-circuit analysis, and coordination studies.
• Support project planning, design reviews, and field installation of electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide technical support during construction and commissioning.
• Ensure designs comply with national and local electrical codes (NEC, NFPA, IEEE) and client standards.
• Support project documentation, as-built drawings, and O&M manuals.
• Assist with vendor selection and review equipment submittals.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of electrical engineering experience in industrial, commercial, or process environments.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, or other electrical design software.
• Knowledge of PLCs, motor control systems, and power distribution preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Tampa; local candidates preferred.
