We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support and oversee electrical systems during construction of manufacturing and industrial facilities in the Tampa area. This role is focused on construction-phase execution, coordination, and system performance rather than licensure, and is ideal for an engineer with strong field experience in industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee installation and implementation of electrical systems for industrial and manufacturing construction projects
- Review electrical drawings, specifications, and contractor submittals
- Provide field support during construction, including site walks, troubleshooting, and issue resolution
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, inspectors, and equipment vendors
- Ensure electrical work meets NEC, NFPA, and local code requirements
- Support power distribution, lighting, grounding, and equipment connections
- Assist with load calculations, equipment layouts, and system coordination
- Participate in testing, commissioning, and startup activities
- Identify constructability issues and support schedule and cost control efforts
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of experience overseeing or supporting electrical systems during construction of industrial or manufacturing facilities
- Strong understanding of electrical power distribution and industrial electrical systems
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Familiarity with NEC, NFPA, and applicable local codes
- Comfortable working in active construction and industrial environments
