AboutThe Role
Systems Engineers are required to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3. This position is located at Mac Dill AFB. The purpose of the SITEC 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and deployed forces with O&M services to maintain Network Operations (Net Ops), systems and network infrastructure, end‑user and common device support, configuration, change, license and asset management, training, and IMAC services.
Responsibilities and tasks play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end‑user who operate around the globe 24×7×365.
- Lead the Riverbed tool suite strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and enterprise standards.
- Install, configure, migrate, maintain, and troubleshoot Riverbed and integrated technologies in RHEL and Windows virtualized environments.
- Standardize deployment, configuration, and maintenance processes across platforms.
- Design, develop, and maintain Common Operating Picture (COP) and custom dashboards, integrating with Splunk, BMC Remedy/Helix, and other network/security tools.
- Automate workflows and optimize event‑alert‑incident correlation for improved operational efficiency.
- Create and manage data retention policies, index administration, and performance optimization.
- Configure Riverbed to proactively prevent incidents and lead incident/problem resolution efforts.
- Ensure all technologies remain secure, compliant, and up to date with stable architecture.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 12 years with HS degree, 10 years with AS/AA degree, 8 years with BS/BA, 6 years with MS/MA, or 3 years with PhD
- DoD 8570 IAT II Certification AND CCNA
- DoD TS/SCI clearance

- Riverbed Professional certifications, including NetIM, Profiler, Flow Gateway, App Response, and Aternity
Target Salary Range: $80,000 – $128,000. Salary is determined by various factors, including scope and responsibilities of the position, individual experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
