FPGA Design Engineer

Work Arrangement:

Hybrid (3 days/week in-office: Tue–Thu)

• Design VHDL-based FPGA, ASIC, and CPLD devices for avionics applications, targeting Xilinx, Microsemi, and other families across the full design lifecycle.
• Perform RTL design, simulation, and verification using industry-standard tools.
• Develop and manage requirements in DOORS; prepare DO-254 certification artifacts.
• Define project plans, schedules, and cost objectives for custom logic development.
• Support bids/proposals and architect complex FPGA-based solutions.
• Analyze data and apply engineering judgment to resolve moderately complex hardware design issues.
• Collaborate across functions, mentor junior engineers, and lead small-to-medium projects.
• Document technical data per engineering policies.
• Manage multiple parallel projects and cross-team coordination.

• BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• 4+ years of professional experience in FPGA/ASIC design.

• MS in Electrical/Computer Engineering.
• 5+ years in computing products with cSoC/FPGA architectures.
• Expertise in high-speed interfaces: PCIe, AXI, SERDES, DMA.
• Mentor Graphics Expedition / Hyper Lynx (PI/SI).
• DO-254 and MIL/Aero certification experience.
