Verdantas is seeking a Staff Engineer I for our Tampa, Florida office.

What You'll Do:
* Conduct field activities, including collecting samples of various environmental media (soil, sediment, groundwater, surface water, and air)
* Participate in environmental investigation programs, including Phase l/ll Environmental Site Assessments
* Invoice/budget preparation and budget tracking
* Data compilation, reduction, and interpretation
* Evaluate environmental regulations
* Prepare environmental reports
* Contractor liaison/oversight for investigation and remedial programs
* Problem-solving using standard engineering / scientific methods
* Coordinate project tasks, implementing fieldwork, and participating in remedial design efforts
* Demonstrate effective analytical, interpretive, time, and project management skills

What You Bring:

* Bachelor of Science degree in environmental engineering, geology, or science related field
* 1-2 years of relevant experience
* Proficient with MS Office Suite of products
* Able to conduct some fieldwork with heavy lifting
* 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training a plus
* Must possess a valid driver’s license and personal vehicle
* Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
