What You Will Do
Southeast region. This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance at Tampa, FL office and periodic travel within the region to assist clients. Team will work on planning, design, and construction administration of public and private projects for GFT’s site development practice within the Buildings & Places business group.
Responsibilities- Understand and apply agency design standards in civil infrastructure design.
- Use hydrologic and hydraulic programs (ICPR, HEC-RAS, Bentley software, etc.) for storm-water analysis, modeling water and wastewater systems (Water
CAD, Sewer
CAD) and preparing roadway designs (Civil 3D, INROADS). - Write Basis of Design or other reports for road, drainage, or water and wastewater utility improvements.
- Coordinate with other disciplines on construction drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate with internal and external clients.
- Occasional travel (up to 10% of time) for field work and meetings.
- BS in Civil Engineering (MS is a plus).
- E.I.T. required; preferred to be on track for PE licensure in Florida.
- 3+ years of site/land development experience, with thorough knowledge of local, state and federal agency requirements for site plan approvals.
- Comprehensive knowledge of local development approval processes, including site design, grading, storm‑water management, erosion & sediment control, and utility design.
- Extensive site storm‑water management design and permitting expertise.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Salary range $85,000 – $118,000, dependent on experience and geographic location.
