Job Description:

BCC Engineering, a Parsons Company is looking for an amazingly talented Roadway Engineer Intern to join our team! In this role you will get to contribute to large-scale engineering projects and gain practical experience in a highway and roadway design. By joining Parsons, you'll be part of our well-established Summer Internship Program with 170+ interns nationwide. This internship offers a unique opportunity to build real-world experience, make a meaningful impact on our organization and communities, and take important steps toward advancing your career.

What You'll Be Doing:

* Prepare construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.

* Assist with the geometric design of highways and roadways, including horizontal and vertical alignments, cross sections, superelevation diagrams, gore details, vertical clearance calculations, and grading plans.

* Perform material quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and field surveys as required.

* Use design software and CAE/CAD applications to develop and implement project designs.

* Provide technical guidance and input to CAD drafters, designers, and other engineers working on the project team.

* Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support project delivery.

* Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

* Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and leadership skills

* Excellent organizational and management skills

What Desired Qualifications You'll Bring:

* Working knowledge of CAD software, such as AutoCAD and Microstation is a plus

* Prior transportation or infrastructure engineering internship experience preferred

* Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.

Salary Range: $22.93 - $40.14
