We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive Lead Network Security Engineer to oversee and enhance enterprise and industrial network security in a hybrid environment. This role will lead network operations, cybersecurity initiatives, disaster recovery planning, and infrastructure optimization while mentoring cross-functional technical teams. The ideal candidate thrives in a hands-on leadership position and is passionate about secure, scalable network design and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in network engineering and security
- CCNA, CCNP R&S, or equivalent hands-on experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
- Strong expertise in TCP/IP network design, implementation, and support
- Experience in network security architecture, firewall management, and access control provisioning
- Background in network monitoring, management, remote access, and VPN solutions
- Comprehensive knowledge of cybersecurity posture, system engineering processes, and infrastructure protection
- Experience contributing to IT strategy development and portfolio management
- Industrial network and SCADA systems experience (Rockwell Automation, Stratix switches) preferred
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and technical documentation skills
- Ability to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally
Responsibilities:
- Lead maintenance, administration, and troubleshooting of enterprise and industrial networks
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve IT security strategy and policies
- Manage firewall policy design, configuration, and optimization
- Oversee network hardware implementation and configuration across Cisco, Meraki, and Dell environments
- Conduct security testing, intrusion detection and prevention, and benchmarking of configurations
- Monitor network performance, system alarms, and device health to proactively prevent downtime
- Lead disaster recovery and backup initiatives, including cloud-based solutions
- Design and support secure industrial control network environments
