Job Summary

Job Summary: Paligen Technologies is an engineering firm dedicated to the advancement of novel manufacturing solutions in the commercial, defense, and aerospace industries. We are hiring multiple Quality Engineer III's to work with Program Management, Engineering, and Supply Chain to ensure that all Quality requirements are understood and properly implemented. This role involves working closely with multi-disciplinary teams within Paligen Technologies, subcontractors, and customer representatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain the program’s Quality Plan, inspection strategy, and verification approach for equipment procurement and installation.
  • Collaborate with Supplier Quality, Supply Chain and Program Management to ensure successful on-time delivery of products and services.
  • Develop and implement methods and procedures for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection to ensure products that are free from defects and function as designed.
  • Support the definition and qualification of quality inspection equipment and gaging in support of production processes.
  • Analyze reports and product nonconformances to determine trends and recommend disposition and corrective actions.
  • Support root cause and corrective/preventive action analysis using tools such as FMEA, Fishbone, A-3, Fault tree analysis, cause mapping, SPC, and other relevant charts and diagrams.
  • Collaborate with supplier and customer representatives on quality problems, ensuring effective corrective actions are defined and implemented; contribute to supplier quality programs.
  • Prepare and implement quality assurance policies, procedures, and review cycles.
  • Manage the internal audit process, including schedules and audit reports.
  • Evaluate audit findings and aid in the definition and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Participate in material review board actions.
  • Represent the company in customer, supplier, and teammate meetings, program reviews, corrective actions, etc.
  • Provide quality input during equipment specification development and procurement decisions.
  • Participate in design reviews, technical interchange meetings, and readiness events.
  • Define and review Factory Acceptance Test (FAT), Site Acceptance Test (SAT), and installation qualification requirements.
  • Review supplier quality documentation, including control plans, inspection reports, factory acceptance test and first article test results, and corrective actions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a similar role; or 4 additional years of related experience if a degree is lacking.
  • Experience with construction quality and facility commissioning.
  • Strong knowledge of quality assurance requirements, supplier quality, ISO 9001 and/or AS9100.
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies including root cause and corrective/preventive action determinations and processes.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Acts with integrity, works collaboratively, and supports continual improvement.
Preferred Skills
  • Certification as a Lead Auditor.
  • Advanced degree or certifications related to relevant engineering discipline.
  • Experience working with international/OCONUS companies on Quality Assurance activities.
  • Experience in the production and processing of energetic materials and explosives.
Other Requirements
  • Travel: up to 25%, to support other locations manufacturing sites, suppliers and customers.
