Test Engineer

Must Have

• Associate’s degree
• Bilingual (English/Spanish); written and spoken
• U.S. Top Secret / SCI security clearance

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related technical field highly preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
• Hands‑on experience testing systems or equipment (UxS / drone testing experience preferred)
• Comfort working in technical environments and eagerness to engage with complex unmanned systems
• Problem‑solving, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a cross‑functional engineering team
• Familiarity with government test standards, safety protocols, and operational procedures
• Initiative, ownership of tasks, and comfort operating in ambiguous or fast‑paced settings
• Positive attitude toward safety, following protocols, and continuous learning

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Level II Flight Physical for UAS operations (as alternate pilot)
• Attention to detail and ability to identify issues while clearly explaining system functionality

Seeking a Test Engineer - Unmanned Systems (UxS) to support the testing, evaluation, and fielding of multi‑domain unmanned systems (e.g. air, ground, and maritime). This hands‑on role focuses on validating system performance, ensuring operational readiness, and supporting rapid fielding of emerging UxS technologies in laboratory and realistic operational environments. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, technical, and comfortable working in dynamic field settings.

• Plan and execute testing of multi‑domain Unmanned Systems (UxS) in lab, controlled, and field environments to evaluate performance against requirements
• Collect, analyze, and interpret test data to assess system reliability, interoperability, safety, and effectiveness
• Prepare clear, concise test plans, reports, data summaries, and after‑action reviews documenting findings and recommendations
• Collaborate with engineering, integration, and program teams to identify issues, troubleshoot anomalies, and implement corrective actions
• Support UxS fielding events, exercises, demonstrations, and customer evaluations, including setup, execution, and teardown at test ranges and forward locations
• Serve as alternate pilot/operator for Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) during testing activities
• Track test outcomes, risks, and deficiencies to support program decision‑making and continuous improvement
• Adapt quickly to evolving priorities and mission‑driven test schedules

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and work in austere field conditions
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Clear vision and hearing to ensure safe and effective communication and equipment operation
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time, including test ranges, government facilities, and operational locations (may include extended standing, walking, and exposure to varying environmental conditions)
• Comfort working in laboratory, workshop, office, and outdoor/field environments with varying conditions
