Structural Engineer – Buildings
Location:
Florida (Jacksonville, Orlando, Tampa, Hollywood). Remote/Hybrid based in Florida.
As a Structural Engineer you will be hands‑on with the technical design of building projects, oversee multiple projects simultaneously—including budgeting, scheduling, client management, and communication—and attend project sites and client meetings.
- Collaborate with teams of engineers and architects to complete project deliverables.
- Coordinate design work with other engineering and architectural disciplines.
- Meet client expectations for budget and schedule while delivering a quality product.
- Increase proficiency in relevant design, modeling, and analysis software applications such as Revit, ETABS, RISA, RAM Structural System, RAM Elements, RAM Concept, Enercalc, Excel, Steel Smart, and Simpson CFS Designer.
- Increase your knowledge of local codes and industry standards.
- Assist with budget estimates and write‑ups for proposals.
We are seeking the following experience and qualifications:
- B.S. Degree in Civil, Structural Engineering, or M.S. in Civil/Structural Engineering is preferred.
- FL Professional Engineering (PE) license is a must.
- 5+ years of relevant structural engineering design experience (Concrete, Steel, Masonry, Wood).
- Knowledge of building codes, standards, and construction practices specific to high‑seismic regions.
- Technical skills:
Proficiency in industry‑standard software (e.g., ETABS, RISA, RAM Structural System, RAM Elements, RAM Concept, Enercalc, Excel). - Experience assembling calculation packages for submittal to agencies (DSA and HCAI a plus).
- Revit experience including modeling and producing construction drawings is preferred.
