Job OverviewThe Project Manager will manage general aviation and non-hub commercial service airports. Projects include federal and state funded airport improvement programs and locally funded projects at public and private use airports.
Responsibilities- Design experience on FAA and State DOT aviation projects within an assigned client base.
- Manage portions of a project: grant facilitation, design, bidding, construction administration, and closeout to meet project goals on time and on budget.
- Ensure compliance with airport master plans, federal grant assurance requirements, FAA and state design standards, and project scope of work.
- Apply FAA Advisory Circulars for airport design and construction, including runways, taxiways, aircraft parking aprons, grading/drainage, and pavement markings.
- Develop contract specifications and bid estimates.
- Coordinate engineering design staff and other disciplines to meet objectives.
- Maintain accurate daily timekeeping.
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in civil engineering.
- P.E. preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficient knowledge of general office equipment, MS Office, Field‑based software.

Physical RequirementsIntermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, stooping, crawling, and lifting. Must frequently lift and/or move light equipment up to 20 pounds. Must be alert to equipment in the field, occasional need to work near hazardous equipment and machinery, walk on uneven ground, exposure to dust, gas or fumes, noise, extremes in temperature or humidity, and potential work at heights.
