Environmental Project Engineer; PRP

NOVA Engineering & Environmental is seeking a mid-level Environmental Project Engineer to join our team in Tampa, FL
. The ideal candidate will have experience with Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s (FDEP) Petroleum Restoration Program (PRP), including both office and field work.

• Conduct site assessments, investigations, and remediation activities for petroleum-contaminated sites.
• Prepare technical reports, work plans, and regulatory submittals in compliance with FDEP guidelines.
• Perform data analysis and interpretation to support environmental decision-making.
• Coordinate and oversee field activities, including soil and groundwater sampling, monitoring well installation, and remediation system operation and maintenance.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, and regulatory agencies to ensure project objectives are met.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior staff and field technicians.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
• Utilize Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) software to assist in the design and implementation of engineering projects.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil / Environmental Engineering or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience with FDEP's Petroleum Restoration Program (PRP).
• EI / EIT license is preferred (Passed FE).
• Experience in preparing Remedial Action Plans.
• Ability to conduct pilot testing and field data collection.
• Proficiency in CADD software is a plus.
