The Quality Engineer 3 will work with Program Management, Operations, Supply Chain to ensure that all Quality requirements imposed by purchase orders and customer contracts are understood and properly implemented.

This role involves working closely with multi-disciplinary teams within REPKON USA, subcontractor personnel, and customer representatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develops and implements methods and procedures for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection to ensure products that are free from defects and function as designed.
  • Supports the installation, testing and qualification of quality inspection equipment and gaging in support of production processes.
  • Analyzes reports and product nonconformances to determine trends and recommend disposition and corrective actions.
  • Supports the root cause and corrective/preventive action analysis through use of various tools and methodologies, such as FMEA, Fishbone, A-3, Fault tree analysis, cause mapping, SPC, and other relevant charts and diagrams.
  • Collaborates with supplier and customer representatives on quality problems, ensures that effective corrective actions are defined and implemented. Contributes to supplier quality programs.
  • Prepares and implements quality assurance policies, procedures and review cycles.
  • Manages the internal audit process including schedules and audit reports.
  • Evaluates audit findings and aids in the definition and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Participate in material review board actions and database.
  • Lead or support, as assigned, various projects.
  • Represents the company in customer, supplier, and teammate meetings, program reviews, corrective actions, etc.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a Quality Assurance, manufacturing engineering, or a similar role. In the absence of a degree, 4 additional years related experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of quality assurance requirements, supplier quality, ISO 9001 and/or AS9100.
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies including root cause and corrective/preventive action determinations and processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Acts with integrity, works collaboratively, and supports continual improvement.
Preferred

Skills:
  • Certification as a Lead Auditor
  • Advanced degree or certifications related to relevant engineering discipline.
  • Experience working with international/OCONUS companies on Quality Assurance activities
  • Experience in the production and processing of energetic materials and explosives.
Other Requirements:
  • Travel: up to 25%, to support other locations manufacturing sites, suppliers and customers.
  • Work Environment: Office work environment.
  • Background Investigation / Drug Screen / US Person: Required.
