An established, employee-owned environmental consulting and engineering firm is seeking an experienced Environmental Remediation Project Engineer to join its team in Tampa, Florida.

Position Overview
We are looking for a dedicated project engineer to support and lead design teams utilizing advanced remedial technologies to address contamination in soil, groundwater, stormwater, and air. This role will contribute to projects involving PFAS, 1,4-dioxane, chlorinated solvents, petroleum hydrocarbons, and heavy metals at sites governed by state, CERCLA, and RCRA regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support remedial and process engineering projects from data gap analysis to design, construction, system operation, and optimization.
- Evaluate data from aquifer tests, pilot studies, bench testing, sampling events, and modeling to develop remedial strategies.
- Prepare and review design documents including feasibility analyses, technology evaluations, specifications, and engineering reports.
- Communicate with regulatory agencies and permitting authorities to ensure compliance.
- Manage projects ranging from small commercial sites to large industrial and federal facilities.
- Develop proposals, cost estimates, and long-term plans for remediation initiatives.
- Provide technical support and mentorship across multiple offices, contributing to team problem-solving and national technical initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- 7-15 years of relevant experience.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
- Direct experience with remediation technologies and O&M for a variety of environmental media and contaminants.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel overnight as needed
