HVAC Project Sales Engineer

$80,000 - $100,000 + Bonus + 401(k) Match + Full Benefits + Training + Mileage Reimbursement + Profit Sharing

Tampa, FL (Commutable from: St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Brandon, Sarasota)

Are you an HVAC Engineer or Sales Engineer looking to step into a more consultative, client-facing role with real autonomy and long-term progression?

On offer is a position with structured training, direct exposure to senior leadership, and the opportunity to become a go-to technical expert within a well-established and growing mechanical contractor.

This company is a long-standing mechanical services provider with decades of industry success, known for their strong culture and commitment to developing their employees long-term.

On offer is a role where you will work closely with existing clients, providing consultative solutions on HVAC system upgrades, retrofits, and energy‑efficient design‑build projects. You will receive hands‑on training through a structured onboarding plan, including shadowing senior engineers and working alongside leadership to develop both technical and commercial expertise.

This role would suit an HVAC Engineer or early-career Sales Engineer looking for long-term stability, technical development, and the opportunity to grow into a key figure within a collaborative and supportive business.

The Role
  • Consult with existing clients on HVAC system upgrades, replacements, and energy‑efficient solutions
  • Conduct site surveys, perform load calculations, and prepare project estimates
  • Develop and present consultative sales proposals for design‑build and retrofit projects
  • Structured training plan with senior leadership and ongoing development
The Candidate
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar)
  • 1‑3 years' experience within HVAC & mechanical systems
  • Experience with load calculations and system design fundamentals
  • Strong communication skills with an interest in client‑facing / sales engineering
