Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer with a Professional Engineer (PE) license and 4-8 years of hands-on experience to join our growing engineering team. The ideal candidate will lead mechanical system design, perform technical calculations, prepare construction documents, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, piping, and mechanical equipment layouts.
- Prepare engineering calculations, technical drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
- Perform load calculations, energy modeling, and equipment selection.
- Review shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals.
- Conduct site visits, inspections, and field verifications.
- Coordinate with architects, electrical engineers, civil engineers, and contractors.
- Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, standards, and regulations.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
- Support project management activities and client communications.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (ABET-accredited).
- Professional Engineer (PE) License - Required.
- 4-8 years of professional mechanical engineering experience.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, and mechanical design principles.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and load calculation software.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and coordination skills.
- Experience in commercial, industrial, healthcare, or infrastructure projects preferred.
- Experience with ASHRAE standards, NFPA codes, and local building regulations.
- Energy modeling and sustainability project experience.
- Project leadership and client-facing exposure.
Must have Revit Experience.
Healthcare experience is preferred but not required.
