Position: Project Manager - Water / Wastewater

Dewberry is seeking a Project Manager - Water/Wastewater to join our Lakeland, Tampa, or Orlando office. This role centers on leading municipal water treatment engineering efforts and serving as the primary technical expert for a diverse portfolio of water treatment plant projects across Florida.

The ideal candidate has experience with municipal drinking water projects and a broad understanding of various design aspects. Engineers with any level of relevant experience are encouraged to apply if they are motivated to focus on water treatment work.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with developing and managing water/wastewater projects with a focus on treatment, collection, and distribution systems, including studies, design, construction observation, feasibility studies, bench scale/pilot scale studies, master planning, plant operation, and regulatory negotiation/permitting.
  • Work with design team across multiple offices and multiple disciplines to generate detailed design documents for construction plans.
  • Meet client deadlines and project budgets.
Required Skills & Experience
  • B.S. Degree in Environmental, Mechanical, Civil, or Chemical Engineering.
  • M.S. degree in Environmental Engineering (preferred).
  • 10+ years experience with progressive responsibilities for public sector water and wastewater projects.
  • FL FE required.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office is required.
  • Familiar with Modeling and GIS software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, coworkers, sub consultants, and county/agency review staff.
  • Water/Wastewater infrastructure experience is a plus.
