Our client seeks a Power Engineer to design, evaluate, and support DC and AC power systems in telecommunications environments. The role emphasizes hands-on execution, field support, and development of detailed work packages for technician installations. The engineer will collaborate with field teams and stakeholders to deliver safe, reliable, and compliant power solutions while operating independently after onboarding.

Rate: $38.00 to $42.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive step-by-step job packages and installation procedures for technician field work.
- Conduct site visits to assess power system requirements and troubleshoot issues.
- Design and specify telecommunications power solutions including DC plants, inverters, and battery backup systems.
- Support installation and commissioning of power equipment at telecom sites.
- Create technical documentation, diagrams, and schematics using Microsoft Office suite.
- Evaluate AC distribution panels and power distribution systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio for technical documentation.
- Proven experience creating detailed job packages and work instructions for technician installations.
- Working knowledge of 130
VDC, 48
VDC, 120
VAC, and 220
VAC systems. - Hands-on experience with telecommunications DC power plants such as Eltek or Vertiv.
- Understanding of DC battery backup systems in telecom environments.
- Knowledge of inverter systems and their operation.
- Understanding of rectifier operation and AC-to-DC conversion principles.
- Familiarity with Battery Monitoring Systems and their integration.
- Experience with AC electrical panels, breakers, and distribution systems.
- Valid driver's license with ability to travel to multiple site locations.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces, elevated platforms, and outdoor environments.
- Adherence to site-specific safety protocols and PPE requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field (preferred).
