Plumbing Designer

We are seeking a skilled and detail‑oriented Plumbing Designer/Engineer to join our team in Tampa, FL. In this role you will be responsible for the design, layout, and coordination of plumbing systems for a variety of commercial, residential and industrial projects.

• Coordinate the most appropriate design solution through application of industry knowledge, considering client and project parameters.
• Lead projects and provide design direction or support projects as assigned.
• Provide technical assistance across multiple projects during the complete design and implementation life cycle.
• Review designs and incorporate team‑identified value‑engineering options.
• Prepare drawings, specifications, and system models using industry best practices.
• Communicate with team members, clients, consultants, project professionals, authorities having jurisdiction, and others as necessary to complete projects and promote client interests.

This position reports directly to the local Branch Leader.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (preferred).
• Experience in plumbing design for buildings:
  Commercial, Retail, Industrial, Multi‑Family, Medical, Sports, Technology.
• Revit knowledge and experience developing designs independently and as part of a team.
• Experience working with architectural firms and owners on studies, assessments, renovations, and new construction.

• Mechanical/plumbing, electrical, or fire protection equipment and installation.
• Design principles and processes for mechanical/plumbing, electrical, or fire protection.
• ASHRAE, NEC, IBC, IECC, Life Safety Codes, LEED, Earth Craft, and other codes.
• Computer Aided Design and Drafting – AutoCAD and Revit.

• Work efficiently in a fast‑paced and changing environment.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office:
  Word, Excel, Outlook.
