Overview
We’re seeking an energetic individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced work environment, feels confident working independently and enjoys collaborating with colleagues in a team environment. You’ll be expected to manage multiple priorities and have a strong understanding of technology focused innovative design development. You will join a strong technical staff to engage in design efforts on both public and private client projects.

On any given day, you'll:
- Produce construction drawings and plans in AutoCAD Civil 3D (e.g. potable water/sanitary sewer design, civil site development, roadway design).
- Calculate quantities, dimensions, grades, and computations relating to design.
- Assist in the interpretation of field data to be used in utility/roadway design.
- Achieve compliance with drafting and plan standards and familiarity with Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) standards.
- Complete assigned projects within the defined scope, timeline, and budget.
- Consult with supervisor, project manager, and project engineer concerning engineering procedures and problem-solving issues.
- A technical degree or certificate in Computer Aided Drafting (CADD).
- 0-3 years of design experience.
- Proficiency with Civil3D/AutoCAD.
- Experience using CADD in the development of utility and roadway plans.
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record required.
- Understanding of roadway construction plans and utility relocation design a plus.
- Desire to work positively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Understanding of underground utility locating, GPS, and survey equipment.
- Ability to work independently and with other team members in multiple offices.
- Capacity to use problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with strong technical writing ability and computer skills, including MS Office suite.
- Knowledge of applicable state and federal rules and regulations related to telecommunications projects and general construction practices.
