• Create basic designs of electric master system plans, power system, protection and generation models, facility power systems, sustainability/renewable energy systems, and other similar electrical systems.
• Perform studies of power systems and electrical calculations; lighting simulations; lighting layouts; communications, fire alarm, security, and other similar calculations of basic complexity to meet client project requirements.
• Assist with the selection and specification of electrical components including motor control centers, switch gear, transformers, etc.
• Review draft designs for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and ensure firm policies and practices are followed.
• Perform site reviews and studies, as needed, to ensure designs are aligned with location specifications.
• Update design requirements as necessary.
• Contribute to firm’s TKM by developing white papers and technical design documentation of new or special case designs, studies, etc.
• Submit technical papers and designs for publishing to technical journals.
• Perform other duties as required.
• May create or work with a team to create a poster or other presentation material for a conference.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Electrical Technology, or related discipline.
• No prior experience required. Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

5% of the time.

• Basic knowledge of computer-assisted design and drafting (CADD) 3D and 4D software and practices.
• Basic knowledge of engineering principles of design.
• Knowledge of Microsoft business software (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
