Hybrid Work Arrangement
Three days a week in the office, with flexibility to work remotely two days.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with multi-disciplined engineering and design teams to develop mechanical physical layout drawings in 3‑D models.
- Design mechanical systems, investigate, troubleshoot, and solve a wide variety of mechanical design issues.
- Utilize 3D modeling software tools to create mechanical design schematics.
- Coordinate detailed design phases for all aspects of an integrated mechanical design model.
- Support other designers and project team members to ensure complete and timely design deliverables.
- Independently, as well as in a team, plan and execute mechanical design deliverables such as general arrangements, piping isometrics, piping composites, pipe support drawings, and equipment location drawings.
- Assist senior designers and engineers in field walk‑downs and data gathering at client facilities.
- Provide guidance to others in the use of drafting tools and mentor less experienced drafters and designers.
- Associate’s Degree in drafting, or high school diploma with 1+ years of drafting coursework or equivalent technical experience.
- 3+ years of detailed physical design experience in developing mechanical general arrangements, piping systems, and supports.
- Proficiency with 3‑D plant layout software tools.
- Experience reviewing mechanical equipment, including outlines and interface points, and coordinating related deliverables.
- Ability to interface with engineering and design teams of other disciplines in the power‑plant design process.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or a related field.
- Proficiency with Micro Station.
