Project Support & Analysis:
- Assist with drainage analysis and the preparation of construction plans and drainage reports.
- Develop project quantities and prepare submittal documents to support project needs.
- Conduct field investigations of drainage systems and flooding complaints.
- Coordinate with various permitting agencies for stormwater management.
Cross‑Disciplinary Coordination:
- Coordinate and gain a comprehensive understanding of various design components including roadway, traffic control, structures, signing and pavement marking, signalization, lighting, and utility work.
- Attend technical meetings and project field reviews to gain real‑world insights into the engineering process.
- Collaborate with a cohesive team of professionals, including sub‑consultants, to ensure project success.
Diverse Project Exposure:
- Work on projects ranging from major roadway reconstruction and milling/resurfacing to minor design projects such as sidewalks and trails.
Education & Professional Credentials:
- B.S. in Civil Engineering with 0‑5 years of experience.
- Engineer In Training (EIT) Certification is required. FDOT experience preferred.
- Proactive and driven, with a commitment to quality.
- A collaborative team player and effective communicator.
- Adaptable, flexible, and skilled at prioritizing tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong technical writing, computer, organization, and planning skills.
Technical Proficiency:
- Experience and familiarity with Open Roads Designer (ORD) or AutoCAD Civil 3D CADD software. ORD is the primary software used.
- 3D modeling experience is a plus.
- Experience with ICPR /Stormwise or equivalent hydraulic software.
