We are currently seeking an entry level Graduate Engineer–Electrical with 0–2 years of experience to be part of our MEP Engineering team in the Tampa, FL office.

Responsibilities
  • Work with a team of engineers and designers to produce quality engineering construction documents in Revit from architectural plans and base files.
  • Under limited supervision design electrical systems, including equipment sizing, energy lighting calculations and circuit diagrams for a variety of project types.
  • Perform calculations such as electrical load analysis, lighting energy use, voltage drop and fault analysis.
  • Provide reviews of submittals and preliminary requests for information.
  • Independently conduct preliminary site investigations and construction progress site visits.
  • Maintain relationships with manufacturers and technical representatives for electrical equipment to support specifications and design.
  • Participate in internal production meetings with engineers and project managers as well as external design meetings with clients or city officials as necessary.
  • Participate in development of automation and visualization strategies.
  • Inform project engineers, team leaders and project managers of progress on assigned projects.
  • Attend industry events and become involved in the community, building relationships and content.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) license obtained within first year in role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in new building mechanical engineering construction.
  • Experience in Revit.
  • Prior experience or knowledge of coding and/or machine learning technologies.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis. Sponsorship for employment visas is not available.
Physical Demands

Work is performed in an office setting. Hand‑eye coordination is required to operate a computer, keyboard and mouse, and to use a telephone headset for virtual communication. The employee often must sit for prolonged periods, use hands/fingers to handle objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, speak and hear. Specific vision abilities include close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
