Title: Project Manager - ECPM Major Projects

Job Overview

Manage transmission, distribution, substation, and road widening capital projects within the Electric Delivery (ED) organization. Lead project teams and serve as the single point of responsibility and accountability for all aspects of project execution.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, engineer, procure, construct, and startup multiple capital projects, ensuring project scope, cost, time, risk, quality, procurement, communications, and human resources support project objectives.
  • Initiate, execute, monitor, control, and close projects, measuring performance against safety, schedule, financial, and operational goals.
  • Review project scope approvals (PSA), completion reports, and change requests for upper management approval.
  • Manage project communications: identify stakeholders, facilitate team meetings, deliver presentations, and provide accurate status reporting on cost, schedule, and critical items.
  • Coordinate engineering, construction, and contractor activities, monitoring contractual requirements and ensuring compliance.
  • Control project scope through change management procedures, ensuring justifications, approvals, and implementation are documented.
  • Develop and track project budgets, estimates, and forecasts, maintaining accurate monthly and yearly financial data.
  • Perform additional duties as needed and independently fulfill Project Manager I responsibilities, seek improvement areas, and manage more complex projects with higher cost values.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Building Construction, or a related discipline preferred.
  • Minimum of ten years of experience, including contract administration, electric delivery system infrastructure design/construction, budgeting systems, and contractor claims negotiation.
  • Experience with electric distribution/transmission project administration and supervisory experience (minimum one year) preferred.
  • Working knowledge of electric delivery construction and design criteria.
  • Preferred: PMP certification (PMI) and/or professional engineering license.
  • Minimum of three years as a Project Manager I or fourteen years of experience in the engineering and construction business.
Storm Duty Requirements

Team members are required to respond to storms as part of emergency response and recovery activities. This participation is a condition of employment and will be compensated according to company rules and procedures.
