Role Overview

As the Director of Construction & Development for Bubble Down Car Wash, you will be the primary architect of our physical expansion across Florida. You will oversee the entire lifecycle of our facilities—from site selection and innovative design to the final "grand opening." Your goal is to deliver industry‑leading car wash facilities on time and under budget while pushing the boundaries of our eco‑friendly, state‑of‑the‑art wash technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design & Engineering: Collaborate with architects and engineers to design high‑efficiency wash tunnels, integrating Bubble Down's signature water recycling systems and long‑tunnel layouts.
  • Pipeline Management: Manage a multi‑site construction pipeline (including upcoming 2026/2027 projects in Clearwater, New Port Richey, and Punta Gorda).
  • Financial Oversight: Establish and manage multi‑million dollar project budgets, ensuring maximum ROI through value engineering and proactive cost control.
  • Vendor & Subcontractor Relations: Build and maintain a robust network of specialized subcontractors, equipment vendors, and local trades in the Tampa Bay area.
  • Regulatory & Permitting: Lead the entitlement process, including zoning, land use, and environmental permitting across various Florida municipalities.
  • Quality & Safety: Ensure all sites adhere to strict OSHA standards and Bubble Down's high "Wash Happy" quality benchmarks.
Required Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 10+ years in commercial construction, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Specific experience with Automotive Service Facilities or high‑volume retail is highly preferred.
  • Technical Skill: Proficiency in project management software (Procore, Autodesk) and a deep understanding of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems critical to car wash operations.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and lead cross‑functional teams of project managers and site superintendents.
Preferred Skills
  • Active PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
  • Deep knowledge of Florida‑specific building codes and environmental regulations.
  • A passion for sustainable, eco‑conscious development practices.
