Job Summary: The Commissioning Provider II — Southeast Regional Lead is responsible for delivering high-quality commissioning services for new building projects by ensuring that mechanical, electrical, and control systems are designed, installed, and operated in alignment with project and owner requirements and industry standards. This role will focus on new construction commissioning (NCCx) while supporting Envinity’s full commissioning service line.
Key Responsibilities (New Construction Commissioning):
- Conduct technical and thoughtful design reviews to ensure alignment with owner’s project requirements; identify risks and opportunities for improvement and highlight Envinity’s expertise in high-performance building solutions as applicable.
- Develop commissioning plans for construction projects, outlining the scope, objectives, and timelines in collaboration with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders.
- Oversee the implementation of commissioning plans, including checklist creation, verification, and functional performance testing of building systems and components, and ensure compliance with industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements and Envinity quality criteria.
- Coordinate commissioning activities with various stakeholders, including contractors, architects, engineers, and facility managers, to ensure seamless integration with construction schedules, and collaborate to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues that arise during the commissioning process.
- Allocate resources efficiently, including personnel, equipment, and budget, to ensure the successful execution of commissioning activities across multiple projects.
- Ensure accurate documentation of commissioning processes, procedures, test results, and final reports for future reference and compliance, and timely delivery of commissioning reports, manuals, and other project deliverables to clients.
- Identify training needs for team members and organize professional development programs to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Maintain strong client relationships by understanding client needs, addressing concerns, and sustaining effective communications throughout the commissioning process and beyond.
- Provide post-occupancy support to clients and address any commissioning-related issues that may arise after the project’s completion.
Key Responsibilities (Existing Building Commissioning):
- Manage internal and external resource needs across multiple projects, including developing overall project plans and schedules, maintaining accountability for schedule, status, and financial reporting, leading and planning team meetings, and providing progress reports to internal teams and clients at established intervals.
- Schedule and conduct client site visits to document, prioritize, and track building issues and improvement opportunities, while building effective working relationships with client maintenance staff to support issue resolution.
- Develop and perform field testing and utilize fault detection and data analysis tools to diagnose root causes and guide corrective actions.
