Airgas is hiring for a Bulk Project Manager in Tampa, FL. This role will play a significant part in the growth of Airgas South Region’s bulk and micro‑bulk business through the design and installation of industrial and medical gas systems.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure all project elements satisfy Airgas health, environment, and safety standards.
- Develop and manage bulk and micro‑bulk projects for the Region, including design, system sizing, budgeting, and creation of engineering documents.
- Prepare engineering packages for installations: P&IDs, layout drawings, BOM, customer infrastructure package, etc.
- Communicate with customers, internal teams, and external stakeholders.
- Lead installation and commissioning of Airgas systems.
- Develop opportunity proposals with sales teams and define value‑add to customers.
- Propose technical solutions to overcome customer challenges.
- Provide input to process execution and quality plans.
- Collaborate on PFD and PID drafting with process engineers.
- Prepare and coordinate line lists with engineering disciplines.
- Ensure consistency and correctness in P&IDs, with input from process engineers.
- Issue P&IDs, line lists, and related documents per schedule.
- Apply operational methods, E&C standards, quality, codes, and industry standards.
- Maintain records of all project revisions on the Project Master.
- Manage interfaces with engineering disciplines, process, and design teams.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 5 years of technical experience in engineering, industrial operations, or maintenance management with demonstrated leadership experience. Equivalent education and experience may be considered.
- Regional travel up to 25% of time, occasional overnight travel.
- Current driver’s license required.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical Engineering or a science‑related field preferred.
- Prior industry experience in gas, compressed/welding gases, or related settings, including cryogenic maintenance and installation.
